TO PARTICIPATE IN AN ANZGOG CLINICAL TRIAL.
Clinical trials are the best way to introduce new cancer treatments into clinical practice.
‘GO for Gynae’ is a fundraising initiative to assist develop new research to help improve the life of women with gynaecological cancer. It costs as little as $1,000 to fund a woman onto a clinical trial.
The Australia New Zealand Gynaecological Oncology Group undertakes a diverse portfolio of important clinical research that has the greatest potential to improve patient outcomes.
Previous studies have changed the standard of care for women with relapsed ovarian cancer or shown improvements in cancer free survival for patients with recurrent disease.
Current research includes studies in:
|OVARIAN CANCER||ECHO, EMBRACE, iPRIME|
|ENDOMETRIAL CANCER||STATEC, PHAEDRA, feMMe,|
|CERVICAL CANCER||There are currently no ANZGOG cervical trials recruiting.|
ANZGOG collaborates internationally on large international cooperative trials to answer significant treatment questions and undertakes smaller more nimble studies looking at rare tumours (for example 55% of ovarian cancers are rare tumours), quality of life improvements for women with cancer and genomic studies (linking laboratory and clinic).
We foster innovative new research ideas with seed funding from our Fund for New Research which is supported by donors, bequests and philanthropic Foundations.
